My Story
My story begins with our beautiful daughter Madison. Madison was born in December 2009. I was currently teaching at a private school. My dream has always been to be a stay at home mom. I couldn’t bare the thought of having to put my children in daycare and have someone else spend more time with them then me. I wanted to be home with her every day and see all those special moments. It was February and my maternity leave was just about up. My husband, a full time teacher, and I decided that it was best for me to stay home. The only downside was that I would have to find some part time work to supplement my loss of teaching salary. My friend Dawn had been selling Scentsy for a little over 2 years and I had just seen and experienced first hand her success with the business. My husband and I talked it over and even though we were still a little unsure of how it would pay for our bills, we decided I would join. My monthly goal was just to be able to pay our rent. So I joined April 30, 2010 at midnight.
My first month paycheck was more then I ever imagined hosting just a couple parties. It was amazing to me how much everyone loved Scentsy. I was newer to our area and had a very limited amount of friends. So I asked one of my friends to host a show for me. She gladly accepted and from there I started my Scentsy journey. It was amazing to see how fast I booked parties just off my friend’s one party. Within 1 month I had my first recruit (she hadn’t even heard of Scentsy before) and within four short months I became a Director.
It’s been amazing to see how God has used Scentsy in my life not only for financial reasons but for social and relationships. I’ve become reacquainted with friends from high school, college, elementary church camp and made lots of new friends. Some of my best friends were my past hostesses.
It's been 7 years since I started my Scentsy journey, I am excited to say that I am a SuperStar Director, the highest level in Scentsy, and am making more income them my husband. I’ve been able to take my husband on 5 ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIPS to including Hawaii, Atlantis in the Bahamas and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (twice) and other fun places around the U.S. I have earned a trip for two to Cancun and took my sister as a treat! I’ve won numerous high achievement awards with Scentsy as well. I have had the joyous privilege of being a stay at home mom to our three wonderful children and I have grown so much as a person. Scentsy has been such a blessing in my life and I’m so thankful that God has allowed me the pleasure of being a part of such a great company.
